Tommy

Growltiger was a Bravo Cat, who travelled on a barge:
In fact he was the roughest cat that ever roamed at large.
From Gravesend up to Oxford he pursued his evil aims,
Rejoicing in his title of 'The Terror of the Thames'.

Tommy and his brother were born June 22, 2018 across the street in a neighbour's house. Their mother(who is now named Ariel and lives with a friend of ours)had been brought home from the family farm in Alberta which was in the process of being sold.  I first saw them at the tender age of 2 days.  My grandson Tristan came with me to view the tiny babies. There was Tommy, Lily, another girl, Davy, and Fat Ba-t-rd, because he was the biggest.

We weatched them all grow up to 8 weeks and now they were ready to come to their new homes.  I had spoken for Tommy's brother,  Fat B, who I had immendiately named Bandit.  So Tommy went off to his new home.  A day or two later his new family brought him back because their older cat didn't like him.  So I spoke up for him and he joined his brother at our house.

Bandit and Tommy were delighted to be together.  Tommy was very aloof at first, but then when he realized that this was his home he started to warm up to us and we to him.

Tommy has grown into a gortgeous young cat. We are not certain but his mom looks like a lovely Bengal and we think because of Bandit looking like a Maine Coon that his did might well have been a Maine Coon.

On August 12, 2019, Tommy and his brother, Bandit were sitting at the top of the driveway enjoying the end of a lovely summer day.  Sometime around 7:00 p.m.(as I was on my way to the front door to call them in), Bantit decided to take a walk down the driveway.  He never returned from that walk.  We believe he was catnapped.  For the next two months, Tommy would be frantic to get out in the morning and run to the spot he last saw Bandit.  He would sit there for 20 to 30 minutes just staring down the driveway.  In the house he would lay listlessly on his cat bed.

In September, 2019, we decided to get another kitten to help Tommy deal with the loss of his brother, Bandit.  Enter Louie, gray tabby.  His mom is a barn cat at a friend's barn.  It took a few weeks, but Tommy is back playing again.
