Dressed Box Dolls

 

Some of the most sought after Barbie and family items are the dressed dolls that came in a special box. These are extremely hard to find and when they are found, usually very expensive. Following are pictures of dolls that I have found on auctions and have placed them here purely for reference.

Even more rare than the dressed dolls above were the special dolls given to merchants to use for display. These were known as "Pink Silhouette" dressed dolls. These dolls were never sold to the public. The dolls quite frequently had more vibrant make-up. Sometimes the dolls were even given a special hairstyle. The boxes themselves were a real collectors' items as they were marked with T.M.
