BARBIE REAL ESTATE - HOUSES

Over the years Barbie has had her share of houses, in 1962 she got her first house. It was called Barbie's Dream House and was basically a bachelor suite.

Here is the front.

And looking very similar, here is the back.

Inside there was a living area and a bedroom area.

It came with lots of cool little accessories. All were made of heavy cardboard as was the furniture.

A couple of years later Barbie decided that she needed a bigger more sophisticated house. She was tired of bachin' it! Barbie's New Dream House came out in 1964 and this time Barbie had her own bedroom, as well as a kitchen, livingroom and outdoor patio. Once again the house included furniture and accessories made of thick cardboard.

The accessories incuded a cool T.V. with interchangeable screens.

There was a cozy fireplace and a shuttered opening to the kitchen next to the built in bookcase.
