Midge Variations
Midge was originally produced with forward glancing eyes. Then some Midges started showing upwith side-glance eyes. Later some Midges were found with no freckles and then some were found with teeth. This lead to a number of possibilities somewhere around 24 combinations. So far I have found 23 out of the 24 possible variations. The red variations are the ones I haven't found. After searching so long and hard, I am coming to the conclusion that either this last variation I don't have perhaps doesn't exist or someone "made" them or the freckles just wore off a much loved Midge, transforming her into a No Freckles Midge. For some of the no Freckles Midges, I think this theory might be the truth as I have a few dolls that have only one or two extremely faint freckles left. One needs a magnifying glass to see them.
Recently some dolls with right glancing or upward glancing eyes(repaints???) have been seen on some sites and on eBay.
