RANCHER WITH A LIFT OFF ROOF

A MOST UNUSUAL HOUSE STYLE..............

FRONT

BACK

Aside from the colonial with the garage that I had as a kid, I've got to say that this is my most favourite Marx house. It is just soooo cute, but it was also hard to photograph! Here are the front and back views, don't you just want to walk right in that door!

This rather rare house was first produced in 1965. When I first saw it in a reference book, I never thought I would ever see it, let alone own such a nice example of it. The house came with a really neat white plastic chimney with a sweet black rooster design on it, front porch lamps and plastic trees and shrubs around it. It also had plastic window frames.

LET'S GO INSIDE.....
Here's where the fun began, it was very hard to photograph this house so I took it from both sides in hopes that I could show the whole room.

Here is the living/dining room and part of the kitchen taken from the back. Note the gorgeous fireplace and the tools hanging next to it.

Now the kitchen taken from the back of the house .

Next the kitchen, livingroom, and diningroom from the front of the house.

This picture shows the master bedroom at the bottom and the second bedroom at the top, also taken from the back of the house.

Finally the bathroom and the two bedrooms and a teensy bit of the kitchen from the front.

The Box

As you can see from the close ups of the rooms, this house came with the 1/2" Snap together furniture. Some models have been found with the French Provincial style furniture too. Now that might look cool. I'll have to try taking my French Provincial stuff out of my updated Colonial and see what it looks like.
