THE RANCHER

T. COHN'S LAST TIN HOUSE

THE FINAL RANCHER

The last house produced by T. Cohn was a tiny three room rancher.  This is a mock up of what it looks like. It was made from the lower level of the T. Cohn split level. Despite the fact that it only had a Bedroom, Living Room and Kitchen, it came with a full five rooms worth of 3/4" soft plastic Superior furniture.

THE BUNGALOW

The bungalow, which was actually called a rancher was produced in 1956.  It came with 16 pieces of Superior furniture and sold for $2.98.

The bungalow was also produced later on a larger base that depicted a garden and pool. Still searching for that one.

THE SPLIT LEVEL

Reminiscent of the Marx Split level, but IMHO not as nice, this house was produced in 1957.  The outside of the house is appealing enough.  The house was advertised as a "contemporary" split level.  The house, known as #750 sold for $7.98.

INSIDE

This is where I feel this house is not up to Marx, or for that matter earlier T. Cohn house standards.  The lithoes are nowhere near as appealing as the earlier houses.

THE FURNITURE........

The house was sold furnished with the 1/2" Superior soft plastic furniture.

T. COHN WITH ONE PATIO

In 1948, T. Cohn introduced this elegant Spanish themed home as their first dollhouse.  The detail is wonderful.  The lattice windows, which are fully functional are a wonderful touch.  The house was unique with its tiled, pitched roof with it centered chimney.  Window boxes and shrubs decorate the lovely exterior.

Inside, the house boasted a kitchen with white tiled walls, a dining room with hardwood floors covered by an area rug, a fully carpeted living room and upstairs a nursery with a cute circus motif, a bathroom with elegant swans adoring the walls and a master bedroom with sunny diamond patterned walls.  This house was unique because it is the only tin dollhouse built with a separate dining room.  The house was sold furnished with 3/4 inch Superior furniture or unfurnished.

THE FURNITURE

Coming soon.................as soon as I find it all  :)

T. COHN WITH TWO PATIOS

This house was produced in 1951.  It boasted two patios, the one over the kitchen came with a green tin pool and yellow slide.

Look at all the cool lithoes on this room!!

THE FURNITURE.......
The house was sold furnished with 3/4" Superior furniture, which was first produced in 1951.

The other patio was over the garage/utility room.  The garage had an open/close door on the side to admit the family sedan which was sold along with this house.
