Takara was supposed to have lost the Meirin mold but apparently they found it again sometime in late 1999. The version above is LE 1000 and was sold exclusively at the "20th Century Toy Exhibiton" which opened in the Mitsukoshi department store in Nihonbashi, Tokyo, on December 28th, 1999. She's wearing an outfit made by Marsh from a pattern in MFDB #8. This Meirin is very similar to the original version. Her hair is slightly darker.
Meirin is 17 years old and comes from Hong-Kong (blood type : AB, sign of the Zodiac : Gemini). She first appeared in 1988 as a member of the 2nd generation "Jenny's club". She's a clever girl who can speak 6 languages. Here she's wearing a Totoco original outfit, including Chinese-style dress, feather boa and earrings.
