Petite Princess Rooms House

Last Update: August 24, 2016

In 1964, the Ideal toy company brought out a line of dollhouse furniture termed, "Fantasy Furniture". It truly was a fantasy, fit for a princess. I have never been able to secure the house for this furniture, and the vinyl house doesn't appear to me to be big enough to display all the furniture. At first I placed the furniture in a Marxie Mansion and it looked quite good. I have now managed to buy enough of the individual Petite Princess rooms for each set of furniture. Each cardboard room is meant to house one roomful of furniture. The rooms are identical in litho, but are coloured blue, pink, or yellow. The rooms are housed in an Ikea Ivar shelf unit. It is a good solution for housing the large rooms as they fit perfecly onto the smaller shelves.

You can also see the "house" in the book, "The Complete Reference Guide to Ideal’s 1964 and 1965 Petite Princess and Princess Patti Dollhouse Furniture" by Linda Gant and Deb Holman.
