AND IN THE BEGINNING..................

THE SMALL RANCHER FOR THE NEWLYWEDS

This is the smallest of the Marx dollhouses with the exception of the cottages was first produced in 1954.  It looks to me like it would be the first house of a young newlywed couple, you know just starting out with their first house in the burbs. Inside the house has a kitchen, living/diningroom, bath and master bedroom. Oh, oh is that a crib I see in the bedroom, looks like this couple will be looking at one of those nice bigger colonials soon.  The Small Rancher was featured in the 1962 Sears Christmas Book.

The small rancher sometimes came with a full shed dormer. It also came with pink, blue, or yellow siding.
